Wow I never knew how much information I could fit onto one page!
This week we had to design a CV that could only include 1 page with 1 font and black & white text, no colour. Using InDesign was a new experience, which at first I found very tedious and frustrating. I kept wishing it was as simple as Microsoft Office Word! At the end of the class however, I felt a bit more familiar with the program and that I was capable of doing the basic steps such as forming text-boxes, inserting text, using different fonts and changing font sizes. The limitations for creating the CV made it hard for me to design a layout. I felt restricted and as though I could not fulfill the task to make important information stand out with only using 1 font. Also the instruction to have only 1 page made it more difficult to know how much info to show & what was more important & valuable to have on a CV.
Overall, I developed a design that I like which is not too clustered with information and is easy to read.
